Description:

Maintenance Technician Base rate per hour: $31.30. Shift: 2nd shift (Monday‑Friday, 3PM‑11PM). Shift times may vary due to coverage or holidays.Job Duties Understand and adhere to governmental regulatory programs and policies, including the National Electrical Code, EPA, Uniform Building Code, and local environmental agency policies.Practice and comply with all plant and maintenance department safety procedures, including Lock‑Out - Tag‑Out, Arc Flash, and Hot Work Permits.Understand the concept of Permit‑Required Confined Spaces and assist with proper alternate entry of re‑classified confined spaces when necessary.Follow all applicable good manufacturing practices (GMPs) for the area assigned.Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA, food handling requirements before and after equipment inspection and repair activities.Attend classes, seminars, and in‑house training as needed to maintain skill level with changes in the industry.Assist in making improvements and suggestions to optimize the maintenance program.Execute and document planned and unplanned work findings and data during the shift via Outlook or office e‑mails.Repair and install parts, tools, and equipment. Fabricate or modify machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM), inspections, corrective repairs, and special projects/equipment rebuilds.Execute and resolve equipment breakdowns/repairs.Leverage methodologies including root cause analysis (RCA), break‑down failure analysis (BDA), and cause maps to identify and resolve equipment issues.Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to identify failures and take correct follow‑up actions; technologies include ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration analysis.Document the cause of the failure and work with the maintenance team, planner, supervisor, or other team members to take action to prevent a reoccurrence of the failure.Understand and interpret technical documents and diagrams, including factory manuals, blueprints, schematics, single‑line electrical drawings, mechanical and electrical equipment schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). Possess the ability to use and understand volt‑multimeter readings.Perform other duties as required. Mandatory overtime may be required.Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Compensation & Benefits The starting rate for this full‑time, hourly position is $31.30. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
